CAPE TOWN – The City of Cape Town says efforts to clamp down on crime at the Grand Parade in the CBD will be stepped up this festive season according to Eyewitness News report.
The city’s law enforcement officers arrested several suspects at the Grand Parade over the weekend for crimes, including cellphone theft and drug possession.
Officers confiscated dagga and tik.
The city’s metro police’s Wayne Dyason says they’ll intensify efforts to keep the public safe over the festive season.
“Two suspects were arrested during separate incidents on the Grand Parade for the possession of drugs. One person was arrested for being in the possession dagga, and the other for eight packets of tik and two suspected cellphones.”
